Why examine before court proceedings
- understand whether an application for a judicial examination is worthwhile;
- assess the quality of copies and specimens;
- prepare a legal position with a lawyer;
- formulate forensic questions without unnecessary or improper wording.
Format
Initial assessment from copies is possible, but the original document is often needed for a fully substantiated categorical conclusion.
Preliminary assessment: send a photograph of the document and information about the specimens. It is preferable not to fold the original, trace over the signature or add marks beside the document element to be examined.
