Handwriting examination addresses questions about signatures and handwriting. Technical document examination investigates how a document was produced, seals, stamps, document elements, montage, copying and possible alterations.

Both disciplines may be needed in one dispute, but their questions are formulated separately.

State which document is to be examined, whether the original exists, which specimens are available and why the report is needed: court, a notary, an inheritance dispute, a corporate dispute or a pretrial claim.
